Frequently Asked Questions
Q : Do you have a place for us to change?
Yes we do! We have one private changing room as well as two bathrooms for you to change in before and or after class.
Q : Do I need my own clip in shoes?
You do not need to bring your own clip in shoes since we rent them at the studio for $2 a pair. Of course you can bring your own if you’d prefer. Look Delta clips are our favorite, but SPD clips are also compatible.
Q : I’ve never used clip in shoes! Will I be ok?
Absolutely! Don’t be scared to clip in if you’ve never done so before. Your feet will thank you. When clipped in your feet are secured onto the pedals allowing for you to push and pull with each pedal stroke with more power and force. This makes for a much more efficient cycling workout and your feet will not hurt as they would if you wore sneakers! Souls of cycling shoes are rock solid (unlike sneakers) and will not bend allowing them to take all of the pressure and not your pretty little feet!
Q : Is Freedom Ride for beginners?
100% YES. Freedom Ride is for you, your mother, your father, your neighbor, your sister, your brother. Get the picture?! Q : What Should I bring to class?
Bring your happy self, a can do attitude and wear your favorite fitness gear that loves your sweat because we guarantee we’ll leave you dripping after each class!
Q : How early should i arrive?
If it’s your first time riding with us we recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class. If you’re running late please call our studio to let us know so that we can hold your bike up to 10 minutes after class begins. If you have not signed in 4 minutes prior to class we have the right to release your bike.
Q : Do you have cubbies or key lockers?
We do have plenty of cubbies for you to store your keys, ID, and shoes, but we do not have any keyed lockers since most people leave their valuable inside their cars. We recommend you do the same.
Q : What is the process at your studio once I get there?
Upon arrival, please check in with the front desk. Our staff will welcome you, give you a tour of our studio, answer all of your questions and properly set you up on your bike.
Q : Do I have to create an account?
Yes, all riders must create an account in order to be able to purchase any class package. Additionally, it’s important for us to know who you are and have all of your contact information stored in case of an emergency.

You can bring your own water or you may purchase bottled water, coconut water or other beverages that we sell at our studio .
Q : When does your schedule come out?

Q : I haven’t worked out in a while and never before have I attended an indoor cycling class. Will I be able to keep up?
Yes, yes and yes! The reason we’re so confident is because we encourage everyone to ride at their own pace. If after one class you feel the moves on the bike might be a bit tough to follow as a beginner, not to worry. That’s what the beautiful back row is for! From the back you get a front row seat to everybody else and will learn all of our moves in no time!
Q : How many calories can I burn?
You can burn anywhere from 400-700 calories within a 45 minute class depending on how hard you push yourself.

Freedom Ride offers invigorating, total body, beat-based and power metric programs that transform your entire body with each and every ride. Our method incorporates the perfect blend of science plus entertainment inside our state of the art studio with a lighting design and sound system that will leave you in awe.
Q : Can pregnant women ride?
Please consult your doctor prior to taking our class, but the overall consensus in the industry is that it’s safe to take a class during your pregnancy. Simply follow your doctor’s advice and take any precautions recommended.
Q : I hear it hurts to sit on your bike seats. Is this true?
It only hurts a little bit if it’s your first or second time, but after that you’ll be a pro and you won’t feel it anymore! And if you want, you can even buy a gel seat cushion so that you’ll have the softest seat in the house!
Q : Where do I park?
Newport Plaza has over 200 parking spaces. If those happen to be full we have an overflow lot within walking distance. Call the studio and we’ll tell you how to get there!
Q : Do you have childcare?
Unfortunately we do not have childcare at this time.
Q : What is your cancellation policy?
This policy applies to both Unlimited Auto-Pay riders & Freedom Package riders.
You must cancel your bike by 8PM the night prior to your scheduled ride if you cannot attend class. Cancellations after 8PM will be considered a “LATE CANCEL” and a fee of $15 will apply. If you do not call to cancel as well as not show up for your scheduled ride then a $21 “NO SHOW” fee will apply. You will retain the class in your series.
Class Pass riders will only be charged a cancellation fee that is within terms and conditions of Class Pass and not ours. All members (with the exclusion of ClassPass riders) must have an active credit card on file with us at all times to cover these fees. No exceptions will be made. To avoid being charged, please show up on time for the class you booked or cancel your class by 8pm the night prior to your scheduled ride.
You can cancel your reservation in any of the following ways:
1. Logon to your Freedom Ride account and next to the class you wish to cancel click “Unreserve” or “Late Cancel” if you’re outside of the cancelation window.
2. Call the Freedom Ride studio to have us cancel the class for you. Cancellations through Facebook, text message or e-mail will not be considered official and you may get charged. You must cancel yourself before our 8pm cutoff time or by calling us and speaking to a member of the Freedom Ride team or by leaving a voicemail on our answering machine.
Q : What is your waitlist policy?
Ugh! The class you wanted to book is full so now you have to get in the waitlist line. I know, sounds tough, but no worries here since we have a great process to get you in if people can’t make it!It’s quite simple actually. As people can’t attend a class bikes will open up. People like you who’ve added themselves to the waitlist will get on a bike according to where they are in the waitlist line. It’s that easy. But, in order to do so you have to buy a class. With your purchased class you can add yourself to a waitlist. If you don’t happen to get in we’ll return the series to your account so that you may be able to use it at a future date. The class is not refunded.
1.) For bikes that open up before the cancelation window ends (7 hours) you will automatically be enrolled in that class you are waitlisted for. And since we know the love connection we have with you we are going to assume that you want to take EVERY class you are waitlisted for! What this means is that if you don’t want to attend the class you are waitlisted for then you must remove yourself from the waitlist (online or by calling the studios) seven hours prior to the beginning of the class, or you risk getting added to the class after it is too late to cancel. This is our normal cancelation policy that now applies to this scenario.
2.) For bikes that open up after the cancellation window has ended we will not automatically enroll you and instead we’ll call you and text you to ask you directly if you want the class or not. If we don’t hear back from you in 10 minutes we’ll move on to the next member on our list.
3.) And don’t forget that if you put yourself on the waitlist for our 5:30pm class for example, but also booked a bike in our 6:30pm class as backup in case you don’t get into the 5:30pm, you will need to unreserve one of the bikes before the seven hour cancelation window to avoid being charged for both classes instead of just one.
